Jason D. Herring is a sixth generation lifelong resident of Lee County, with a commitment to his family, community and legal profession. Jason and his wife, Angie, raised their 3 children, Bethanne, Laiken, and Jack Barton in Lee County, Mississippi. They are blessed to have their children continue the family-rich roots here in North Mississippi where their grandchildren are likewise being raised. Jason and his family are active members at Saltillo First United Methodist Church. Jason is an avid outdoorsman and his hobbies include hunting with family and friends, golf and boating.
Jason obtained his law degree from the University of Mississippi and immediately opened his own practice, focusing on litigation. He has been a trial lawyer his entire career. He is passionate about all aspects of trial practice, with extensive knowledge of the rules of evidence, as well as criminal and civil procedure. In 2012, Jason was chosen as a Member of the Board of Commissioners for the Mississippi Bar by his peers, representing all of the First Circuit Court District (Alcorn, Tishomingo, Prentiss, Pontotoc, Lee, Monroe and Itawamba Counties). Jason has a peer reviewed AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell, rating him the highest possible in both legal ability and ethical standards.
